Irving, Texas – Derek Scott James Wilson, 28, formerly of Northborough, died Friday, Sept. 21, 2007 in Texas from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.

He leaves his loving wife of three months, Jacolyn (Prichett) Wilson, and his daughter, Patience Tamara Wilson. He is also survived by his loving and devoted parents, Timothy and Carrie Wilson; his sister, Chanelle Wilson; his paternal grandparents, James and Gloria Wilson; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Born in Framingham and raised in Northborough, he attended public schools in Northborough and graduated from Algonquin Regional High School in 1997. While at Algonquin, he played soccer and was captain of the soccer team. Following high school, he attended the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, graduating in 2002 with a B.A. in Economics.

Mr. Wilson worked for Innoviage as assistant sales manager for the past four years.

A funeral service will be held Friday, Sept. 28, at 10 a.m., in Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main St. (Route 20), Northborough. Burial will be private. Memorial donations may be made to the Patience T. Wilson Trust Fund, c/o Sovereign Bank, 181 Main St., Marlborough, MA 01752 or any local Sovereign Bank Branch.
