Stroke and osteoporosis screenings Oct. 5

Residents living in and around Northborough can be screened to reduce their risk of having a stroke or a serious bone fracture. Life Line Screening will be at the Church of the Nativity, 45 Howard St. in Northborough, Friday, Oct. 5, starting at 9 a.m., off ering four diff erent screenings for blocked carotid arteries, abdominal aortic aneurysms, hardening of the leg arteries and osteoporosis. All of the screenings are fast, painless and low-cost. Pre-registration is required. Serene-Scape holds Open House Oct. 2

'Brain Gym' workshop Oct. 11
