Music parents group to kick off 30th year

Westborough – The Westborough Music Parents Association (WMPA) will kick off its 30th year supporting Westborough's music program at its Wednesday Oct. 3 meeting, to be held in the Westborough High School library at 7 p.m. Parents of students in kindergarten through 12th grade and all community members are invited and urged to attend.

Westborough High School's Honors String Quartet will perform at the meeting. The Honors String Quartet is Westborough High School's most prestigious string ensemble, and the players of the Honors String Quartet are some of the most talented in the Westborough schools' awardwinning string program.

"This is an especially exciting year for the Westborough Music Parents Association as it marks our 30th supporting Westborough's outstanding music students and faculty," WMPA President Judy Wilchynski said. "… This year we'll also have the opportunity to celebrate and pay tribute to those members who have laid the foundation for the WMPA and the Fine Arts program we enjoy and our students benefit from today."
