Local students attend design fair

Region - More than 120 high school students from throughout the region spent months preparing innovative projects to show at the 2007 Assistive Technology Design Fair that took place at UMass- Lowell. The projects were designed to help disabled clients tackle everyday tasks.

Among the students were eight Shrewsbury residents – Elizabeth Alexander, Anand Desai, Hyein Jeon, Daniel Jones, Shengzhi Li, Annie Lin, Wayne Liu and Anirvan Mukherjee – and Westborough resident Sophie Zhou.

UMass-Lowell off ers its 11,000 students more than 120 degree choices, internships, five-year combined bachelor's to master's programs and doctoral studies in the colleges of Arts and Sciences, Engineering and Management, the School of Health and Environment, and the Graduate School of Education.
