Jonas Palubeckas, 86

Northborough – Jonas Palubeckas, 86, of Leland Avenue, died at home Saturday, Feb. 16, 2008 after an illness.

He leaves his wife of 65 years, Regina (Revuckas) Palubeckas; his daughters and their spouses, Dalia and Algirdas Zikas, Dr. Aurelia Palubeckas and Peter Stewart, and Emily and Daniel Holland; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; and his niece and nephews, Audrone Streliene, Mindaugas Palubeckas and Dalius Mazutis.

Born in Lithuania, the son of Vincas and Agota (Grubliauskas) Palubeckas, he had lived in Northborough since 1960.

Mr. Palubeckas was employed at Raytheon Company for 30 years, retiring in 1986.

A funeral mass was celebrated Feb. 19 from St. Rose of Lima Church in Northborough, with burial at Howard Street Cemetery. Hays Funeral Home of Northborough directed arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to the Lithuanian Children's Relief, Inc., 261 Thatcher St., Brockton, MA 02302.
