Ann E. Jablonski, 77

Northborough - Ann E. (Burns) Jablonski, 77, died Monday, March 24, 2008 at home surrounded by her family, following a brief illness. She was the wife of Stephen Jablonski, who died in 1975.

She leaves her sons, Jim Jablonski and his wife, Brenda, and Steve Jablonski and his wife, Sue; her daughters, Lisa Jablonski and Lynne Ann Dionne and her husband, Mark; and her grandchildren, Matt Jablonski, Erin Jablonski, Andrew Jablonski, Michael Jablonski, Jesse Dionne, Danielle Dionne and Jennifer Dionne. She was predeceased by her son, Joseph Jablonski.

Born and raised in Worcester, the daughter of Andrew and Esther (Kenny) Burns, she was a 1948 graduate of South High School and had been a resident of Northborough for the past 53 years.

Mrs. Jablonski worked as a police dispatcher for the Northborough Police Department for 25 years, retiring in 1995. Prior to that, she worked for the Town of Northborough as a crossing guard for the Lincoln Street School, as well as one of the first female bus drivers for the state driving school buses in Northborough. She also worked for the New England Telephone Company. Since her retirement, she worked part-time as a bartender for the American Legion Post #234 in Northborough. She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Parish in Northborough.

A funeral mass was held March 27 from Saint Rose of Lima Church, with burial at Howard Street Cemetery. Hays Funeral Home of Northborough directed arrangements.
