Charles E. Corbett, 99

Hingham – Charles E. Corbett, 99, formerly of Eastham and Southborough, died Saturday, April 19, 2008 in Hingham. He was the husband of the late Regeanne (La Croix) Corbett, who passed away in 2004.

He leaves his son, Paul Corbett and his wife, Eileen; his grandchildren, Kathryn Brooks, Peter Corbett, Sara Foley and Matthew Corbett; and his great-grandchildren, Delaney and Jenna Brooks and Grace and Charles Corbett.

Mr. Corbett, a 1926 graduate of the former Peter's High School in Southborough, was a mechanic for Coca Cola for more then 30 years, retiring in 1970.

He was a volunteer firefighter for the Town of Southborough for over 40 years, and one of the earliest members of the Coon Club of Southborough. He was a past master of the former St. Bernard's Masonic Lodge of Southborough and a member of the United Brethren Lodge, A.F. & A. M. of Marlborough. He was awarded his 65-year pin and attended meetings well into his 90s.

Funeral services were held April 23 from the Morris Funeral Home of Southborough, with burial at Maplewood Cemetery in Marlborough. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
