Credit union to hold class for older drivers

Marlborough - On Tuesday May 6 and Wednesday May 7, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day, St. Mary's Credit Union, in conjunction with the AARP, will host a Driver Safety Program for older drivers – defined as age 50 and over.

The class will be taught at the credit union's branch at 1 Northboro Road in Marlborough, in the second-floor Directors Room. The program will be taught by Dr. Harold Homefield, a retired educator from Sudbury.

The cost of the course is $10 per person, which covers the cost of materials and workbooks. The fee is waived for any member of St. Mary's Credit Union.

In addition, it is "Bring A Friend" month at AARP, so anyone showing an AARP membership card can bring a friend to the seminar free.

Participants will learn defensive driving techniques; how to adjust driving habits for age-related changes in vision, hearing and reaction time; and more.
