Northborough – Members of the Color Guard of the American Legion Vincent F. Picard Post 234 of Northborough and U.S. Army veterans (back, l to r) Joe Drummond (Color Guard Captain), Larry Beatty (Post Commander), Walter Nelson and Gerard Bourque (Post Service Officer), gather with fourth-graders (front, l to r) Matt Geoffrion, Michael Upton, Henry Fournier and Angelica Payne after a Memorial Day assembly held at Proctor School May 22. The assembly included a Presentation of Colors, Pledge of Allegiance and National Anthem, veteran interviews, music and singing, and a presentation of "America's White Table" based on the book by Margot Theis Raven. The tradition of the table is in honor of soldiers held prisoner of war or missing in action.
