Air Force technician achieves sergeant rank

Westbor- ough – Kara P. Vautour has been promoted to the rank of staff sergeant in the U.S. Air Force Reserve. An aerospace medical technician with four years of military service, she is assigned to the 439th Aeromedical Staging Squadron, Westover Air Reserve Base, Springfield.

She is the daughter of Donald and Marilyn Vautour of Westborough.

The sergeant graduated in 1998 from Westborough High School, and received a bachelor's degree in 2002 from UMass- Amherst.
