Stuart Tuff s, 80

Northborough – Stuart Tuffs, 80, formerly of Natick, died Monday, June 16, 2008 after being stricken ill in Minnesota.

He leaves his loving wife of 52 years, Irene (Schofield) Tuffs; his son, Ian Tuffs; his grandchildren, Katya Tuffs and William Tuffs; his siblings, Harry Tuffs and Betty Moffet; and many nieces and nephews.

Born and raised in Liverpool, England, the son of Stuart and Margaret (Adams) Tuffs, he came to the United States in 1968 and had lived in Northborough for the past 24 years.

Mr. Tuffs was employed as an engineer with the Norton Company in Worcester for 17 years, retiring in 1993.

He was a member of the Masons in England and Natick and the Church of the Nativity in Northborough. He loved traveling, skiing and fishing.

Funeral services were held June 24 from the Church of the Nativity, with burial at Howard Street Cemetery in Northborough. Hays Funeral Home of Northborough directed arrangements.
