Local man graduates from air traffi c contro l course

Marlborough – Air Force Airman 1st Class Kyle J. Causey has graduated from the Air Traffic Control Operations Apprentice Course at Keesler Air Force Base, Biloxi, Miss.

The course is designed to train students to control en-route and terminal air traffic by use of visual, radar and non-radar means at air traffic control tower facilities. Students learn aircraft identification and to initiate and issue air traffic control clearances, instructions and advisories to ensure the safe, orderly and expeditious flow of air traffic operating under instrument and visual flight rule.

He will be assigned to the 49th Operations Support Squadron, White Sands Missile Range, N.M.

He is the son of John K. and Linda F. Causey of Elm Street in Marlborough.

In 2002, the airman graduated from Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School and, in 2006, received a degree from Fitchburg State College.
