Garden selected as best along the rail trail

image

Hudson – Hudson resident Ivo Matias stands in his garden, which borders the Assabet River Rail Trail (ARRT), after receiving an award for the nicest garden along the trail. This summer is the first time that ARRT has given out the award and hopes to continue the tradition in the coming years.

Matias's garden was chosen after ARRT volunteer Michael Volk traveled the five-mile span through Hudson and Marlborough. After viewing gardens along the way, Volk said that Matias's garden stood out as a real gem along the trail.
