Chamber of Commerce hosts golfing to fund scholarships

Hudson – What better way to finish your golf season than at Charter Oak Country Club? And better yet, your dollars will benefit local scholars. The Assabet Valley Chamber of Commerce's eighth annual Harvest Golf Classic is scheduled for Monday Oct. 20 at Charter Oak Country Club in Hudson. This event promises to be a spectacular day for golfing, socializing and feasting in an unparalleled atmosphere.

The cost is $225 per golfer or $900 for a foursome.

The tournament format is modified best ball and the day boasts a $10,000 putting contest, Gina Cigars, Bacardi USA, Wachusett Brewing Company, Par 3 Poker and fabulous raffles.

Proceeds benefit the Chamber of Commerce's Scholarship Program, which to date has funded more than $34,000 in scholarships for area students.

The event is made possible by the generous sponsorship of dozens of businesses in the Assabet Valley region. Playing and sponsorship opportunities still exist.
