Hudson – Erin Graziano and her son Jack, 1, pet an alligator following an "Animal Adventures" presentation held Aug. 20 at Liberty Park, hosted by the Hudson Public Library Children's Room. With a hands-on approach, children learned about many animals, including a tortoise, a tarantula, a chinchilla, a skunk and a boa constrictor.

Helping ‘Jerry’s Kids’

Hudson – Hudson firefighter Rob O'Hare collects donations from passing motorists downtown for the annual "Fill the Boot" campaign to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Locally, the drive took place Aug. 22. Since 1954, the firefighters' fund-raiser has brought in more than $300 million nationally for the charity.

Remembering disabled veterans
