A recession recipe

Shrewsbury – Town officials have agreed that, although Proposition 2-1/2 overrides have been proposed to balance the budget in four out of the last five years, the current economic climate will prevent them from proposing an override for fiscal year 2010. An exception will be made only in dire circumstances, such as a natural disaster or loss of state funding.

Although the debate will continue to rage on about the need for increased education funding, it appears that an override will be out of the mix for 2010.
