Ronald R. Martel, 55
Marlborough – Ronald R. Martel, 55, died at home Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2008.
He leaves his uncle, Normand Martel; his aunts, Estelle Sargent and Dorothy Naventi; many cousins, including Philip Martel; his close friends, Rick Russell and Michele Papulis; and his girlfriend, Gina Trudell.
Born and raised in Marlborough, the son of Robert and Barbara (Billings) Martel, he was a graduate of Marlborough High School and a delivery driver for ABC Courier for several years.
A member of Marlborough Fish and Game Club and a past president of Marlborough Eagles Post 3565, Mr. Martel was an avid mixed martial arts fan and a Red Sox and Patriots fan. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and playing softball, and was a skeet shooting champion. For many years, he was an announcer for the Marlborough Shamrocks.
Funeral services were held Sept. 22 from the Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home of Marlborough, with burial at Evergreen Cemetery.
