Town awarded recycling barrels

image

Northborough – A resident uses one of the town's new recycling containers. According to the Northborough Recycling Committee, six public space recycling containers have been installed at several town parks. The containers were awarded to the town through a Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection Municipal Waste Reduction Grant. Three containers are located at the Ellsworth-McAfee Park and one each at Assabet Park, Casey Field and Memorial Field. They are for the collection of plastic, glass or aluminum beverage containers. When recycling, empty all remaining liquid before placing beverage containers in the recycling container.
