King Solomon would be proud

Northborough/Southborough – After endless months of negotiations, committees representing both Northborough and Southborough are considering a compromise on how to divide up state reimbursement funds for the renovation and addition project at Algonquin Regional High School. Based on a proposal by the Algonquin Regional School Committee, the towns would split the contested amount equally.

Officials in both towns are now studying whether they can agree to the compromise, which, when all is said and done, will add a relatively modest $40,000 to the coff ers of each town for each of the next 18 years.
