Rachel's Table director thanks students

Dear Editor:

I would like
to thank the
wonderful
students at
the Beale, Spring
and Paton School for
their generous eff orts holding
food drives during the week
before Thanksgiving. These
food drives, organized by local
realtor Steve Levine, collected
1,000 pounds of food that were
transported by volunteers from
Rachel's Table to area pantries
helping the hungry. During
this very difficult economic
time for so many, the pantries
cannot keep enough food on
their shelves to provide for the
growing numbers of people
needing food aid.

Rachel's Table is a non-profit organization that transports donated food to 41 agencies helping the hungry in Worcester. We depend on people like Steve Levine and the children at these schools to enable us to help as many people as possible. Sincerely, Carla Szymanski Director, Rachel's Table
