Southborough to hold ‘Fire Ball’

Southborough – Concerned residents have formed a Southborough Fire Ball Committee to organize a community event to raise funds to purchase a new aerial ladder truck for the town's Fire Department. The fund-raiser, called a "Fire Ball," will be held Saturday March 7 at 6 p.m.

The town's 25-year-old ladder truck has been out of service for approximately a year. A replacement will cost about $1 million. An Aerial Ladder Study Committee, consisting of members of the Fire Department and the public, has researched a number of options regarding the replacement of the ladder truck and its full report can be obtained at the Southborough Fire Department website at www.southboroughfire.org.

The Fire Ball will include cocktails and hors d'oeuvres followed by dinner and dancing to the music of Outta Commission.

All proceeds will go toward the purchase of a ladder truck. More information about the Fire Ball can be obtained online at southboroughfireball.org.
