Rita R. Carey, 82

Northborough – Rita R. (Moscarillo) Carey, 82, a resident of Birch Hill Drive for many years, died Friday April 10, 2009, in Westborough Healthcare following a long illness.

She is survived by her sons, Don Carey and his wife, Melissa, and Mark Carey and his wife, Doreen; her sister, Marjorie Geiger and her husband, Frank; six grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, John Moscarillo, who died in 2001.

Born and raised in Torrington, Conn., she was the daughter of Joseph and Ada (Fantozzi) Moscarillo.

Mrs. Carey thought very highly of her neighbors of many years, with whom she shared many conversations and smiles over the years. She enjoyed reading, working in her garden and going to yard sales. She also loved animals, most of all her dog, Jake.

Funeral services and burial were private. Hays Funeral Home of Northborough assisted with arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to the COPD foundation, 2937 SW 27th Ave., Suite 302, Miami FL 33133.
