Albert H. Drake, 87

Southborough – Albert H. Drake, 87, a veteran of World War II, died Tuesday April 14, 2009, after a short illness. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Anna (Schwenk) Drake.

He leaves his children, Kim Taubinger and her husband, Victor; Albert Drake Jr. and his wife, Nancy; David Drake and his wife, Amy; and Gary Drake. He is also survived by four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Cheryl, in 1971.

Mr. Drake worked for General Motors for over 30 years. He was a member of the DAV, the Ashland American Legion Post #77 and the Marlborough AMVETS Post #1980.

A celebration of life and graveside service were held April 21 at Pine Grove cemetery in Westborough. The Rand-Harper-Pickering Westborough Funeral Home assisted with arrangements.
