Hours of operation: In Hudson, Monday through Saturday 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday 12 to 6 p.m.; in Northborough, Monday through Wednesday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Thursday and Friday 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Sunday 12 to 6 p.m.

Business description: Now in two locations and with 29 years in the business, Bacon's Wine and Spirits has a wide selection of wines, liquors and beers to accommodate your palate and has plenty of experience to help plan the beverages for your party.

With a successful expansion into Northborough underway, to what do you attribute your business success? "I am also extremely fortunate to be surrounded by a great team," owner Charlie Bacon said, "from my manager Mark Childs, who has been with me for years, my wine merchant, Michael Hynes, who has a great consumer palate in choosing wines for our customers, to my son, Charlie II, who grew up in the business, went to Johnson and Wales and is now running the Northborough store. I am very proud of all of my employees for their dedication to providing exceptional customer service. "

What are the latest trends? "The wine business over the past 10 years has really changed the industry; wine has become so popular. We off er a selection of 1,100 diff erent fine wines from all over the world."

What is trendy right now? "What we are noticing with the economy is that people are more budget-conscious, so we have been looking to find good value wines and products that are really good in the under $15 range."

What is your business motto? "Our goal is to provide the best prices, best solutions and best service possible. We off er competitive prices and services for our customers and party planning options, like our 'don't open, return it' policy."
