Friends award annual scholarship

Shrewsbury – (l to r) Shrewsbury Library Director Ellen Dolan congratulates Kimberly Baum, a 2009 graduate of Shrewsbury High School and this year's recipient of the Library Friends Scholarship, along with Carrie Hendricks, president of the Friends of the Library. Baum's essay, titled "The Shrewsbury Public Library: A Treasure in our Community," spoke of her memories of visiting, volunteering and furthering her education at the library. She will attend Westfield State College in September.
