The wheels on the bus go ’round and ’round

Northborough/Southborough – Recently, the Algonquin Regional School Committee met to discuss potential cuts in state funding of transportation budgets for regional school districts. The committee concluded that the cuts, even though earmarked for transportation, would actually cut the classroom budgets since transportation would have to be funded whether or not the state comes through with money for it.

In an attempt to remedy the situation, committee members suggested that voters contact state lawmakers and let them know the full effect the decision will have on Algonquin students.
