Walk with Green Marlborough

Marlborough – Enjoy walking the trails of Marlborough in the company of a guided group the first Saturday of each month. The next monthly walk will be at 9 a.m. Saturday Aug. 1 at Callahan State Park. This two-mile, two-hour hike will be on quiet wooded trails, through an open field, and past scenic Beebe Pond.

Hikers should dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes because the trails are rugged. The walk leader is Rick Boud- rie, a veteran Appalachian Trail hiker.

To get to the Broad Meadow Road entrance of Callahan State Park from Route 20, take Farm Road past the airport. Turn left on Broad Meadow Road. Pass Wayside Racquet and Swim Club. Go straight onto gravel road. The Callahan State Park parking lot is on the left.

For more information, call Rick Boudrie at 508-481- 0569.
