Shrewsbury Majors All-Stars district champions
Shrewsbury – The Shrewsbury Girls Majors All-Stars beat the Spencer Girls Majors All-Stars, 7-1, last month, to claim the Massachusetts District 5 Little League Softball Championship for 2009, the first time a Shrewsbury Little League softball team won the district. The team includes (l to r) Jordan Hnilica, Deanna Hnilica, Alicia Zarozny, Rachel McManus, Julia Spagnuolo, Ally Hoff man, Coach Mike Bracken, Kelli Bracken, Kara Brown, Taylor Wells, Coach Randy Hnilica, Maddie Keigwin, Rachael Montigny and coach Aileen Keigwin. Not pictured are team members Lizzie Bertram and Taylor Janulewicz and coach Steve Janulewicz.
