Polito charity event reaches $180,000

Representative Karyn E. Polito, R-Shrewsbury, hosted the eighth annual Karyn Polito Charity Golf Tournament Aug. 10 at the Pleasant Valley Country Club in Sutton. The golf tournament is a successful event with 100 percent of proceeds distributed to local charities. At the dinner event, checks for $10,000 were presented to each of two charities: Shrewsbury Youth and Family Services and the Westborough Food Pantry.
