Shrewsbury resident becomes assistant dean

Shrewsbury – Eileen Crowley Sullivan of Shrewsbury was recently appointed the new assistant dean in the Feinstein School of Education and Human Development at Rhode Island College. In her new position in the Offic e o f Partnerships and Placements, she will direct the office , plac e all student teacher candidates, and work with practicum supervisors, clinical supervisors, and cooperating teachers.

She will also serve as the liaison to the Rhode Island school districts and will develop and provide professional development for teachers. In addition, she is responsible for all evaluation data related to student placements.

Sullivan spent 26 years at Boston University teaching and serving as the program coordinator for the Physical Education (PE), Health Education and Coaching Program as well as the new-all online graduate certifi- cate in PE, health and coaching in the School of Education.
