Local resident encourages supporting the CROP Walk

The 33rd annual CROP Walk will take place in Westborough Sunday Oct. 18 beginning and ending at the Evangelical Congregational Church, West Main Street. Registration starts at 12:30; the walk commences at 1 p.m.

CROP (Communities Responding to Overcome Poverty) was born in 1947 out of the fields of Middle America in response to the needs of hungry and suff ering people in post-war Europe and Asia.

The event links together the interfaith community and residents of all ages and abilities, taking them through the main streets and back roads of Westborough. Twenty-five percent of the money raised goes to the local food pantry, a crucial contribution during dire economic times.

So don’t just talk the talk. Come walk the walk. Please call me at 508- 898-9895 with questions.
