Correction

In the Nov. 20 edition of the Community Advocate it was incorrectly reported that the increase in the tax rate in Westborough would raise taxes $1.48 per 1,000 square feet, and that the average single-family homeowner would pay nearly $400 per year in property taxes.

The story should have reported that the tax rate in Westborough will rise $1.48 for each $1,000 of assessed value and that for the average house, valued at about $423,000, the annual increase will be about $400.

The Community Advocate regrets the errors and apologizes for any confusion they may have caused.
