William J. White Sr., 72

William J. White Sr., 72, died peacefully at home Tuesday Dec. 15, 2009, surrounded by his loving family, after

long illness.

He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Alice M. (Morse) White; his two sons, William J. White Jr. and Aaron J. White. He came from a family of 13 and is survived by four siblings, Robert White, Thomas White, Ruth Esteves and Marianne Kittredge.

Born and raised in Shrewsbury, the son of the late Peter H. and Elizabeth M. (Miner) White, he had been a resident of Northborough for the past 46 years.

Mr. White worked for the former Thornton Nursing Home in Northborough before retiring in 1999. Prior to that, he worked for Northborough Oil Co. for 20 years.

He was a lover of music and a talented musician. Years ago, he was a Minuteman in Northborough and enjoyed CB radios. He was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church in Northborough.

A funeral Mass was held Dec. 19 from St. Rose of Lima Church, with private burial. Hays Funeral Home of Northborough assisted with arrangements.
