Northborough Town Election has no contested races

Northborough – For the first time in more than 20 years, the town’s annual election Monday, May 10 will have no contested races.

In addition, every incumbent up for re-election has decided to seek re-election.

Those running unopposed for re-election in this year’s election will be:

Town Moderator Frederick A. George Jr., 96 Wesson Terrace.

Selectman Leslie S. Rutan, 22 Hemlock Drive.

Planning Board member Michelle Gillespie, 117 Howard Street.

Northborough School Committee member Nancy W. Berglund, 14 Leland Avenue.

Northborough-Southborough Regional School Committee member Joan G. Frank, 420 Whitney Street.

With the exception of the town moderator, which is a one-year term, all seats up for grabs in this year’s election are three-year terms.
