Northborough Senior Center officially opens

Northborough – (below): Cutting the ribbon at the March 21 celebration to officially open the new Northborough Senior Center at 119 Bearfoot Road are: (l to r) Jeff Leland, Building Committee chair; Adrienne Cost, Friends of Northborough Senior Center president; Kelly Burke, Northborough Senior Center director; Selectman Dawn Rand; Jerry Anderson, Northborough Council on Aging chair; and Town Administrator John Coderre. The celebration continued with a color guard presentation by members of the Vincent F. Picard Post 234 American Legion, while “The Star-Spangled Banner” was sung by the Chamber Singers of Algonquin Regional High School (ARHS). Following speeches by several local officials, guests toured the new 14,000-square-foot building and refreshments were served by Girl Scouts Troop 533 and the ARHS National Honor Society.
