Annual Big Truck Day, yard sale to be held June 12

Northborough – Something old and something new will take place at Algonquin Regional High School Saturday June 12.

The Northborough Department of Recreation will hold its annual Big Truck Day from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. June 12 in the school’s upper parking lot. Kids of all ages will be able to have their picture taken while riding in one of the fleet of trucks used by he Northborough Public Works Department.

There is a suggested donation of $10 per family to help ensure that the event continues to be an annual celebration, and all who attend are encouraged to bring a camera to capture once-in-a-lifetime moments.

T-shirts commemorating the occasion will be sold at Big Truck day for $10 and the sizes of the shirts will range from youth small (YS) to adult extra, extra large (AXXL).

At the same time — and in the same place — that Big Truck Day is being held; the Northborough Recreation Department will host the first-ever community-wide yard sale.

Folks interested in participating in the communitywide yard sale can do so in one of two ways – rent a booth at the Algonquin Regional High School for $30, or inform the Recreation Department and for $15 be included on a map that attendees will receive the day of the event.

The yard sale booths will line the outside of the trucks and will be visible throughout the whole event. The community wide yard sale is open to all Northborough residents and all residents in Shrewsbury, Westborough, Berlin, Boylston and Southborough.

Those interested in having a booth at the yard sale can sign up by calling the Northborugh Recreation Department at 508-393- 5034 or registering online at: www.northboroughrecreation. com. There are only 25 booths at the high school and we can take 40 addresses on the map
