Selectman, Planning Board seats to be decided on at town election on May 10

Southborough – Seats on the Board of Selectmen, the Planning Board and the Board of Health will be on the line in the town’s annual election, to be held May 10.

Challenging incumbent Selectman Salvatore M. Gior- landino, 7 Summit Drive, for his seat and a three-year term on the board will be John F. Rooney III, of 35 Edgewood Road.

In the Planning Board race three candidates will vie for the open seat, but one of those candidates will not be Richard “Chuck” Connors, who announced March 3 that he will not seek a fourth term on the board.

Battling for Connors seat, and the five-year term that comes with it, will be: Paul M. Cimino, 3 Austin Kelly Lane; Andrew S. Mills, 2 MacNeill Drive; and Lisa M. Braccio, 13 Oregon Road.

Running for a three-year term on the Board of Health will be Desheng Wang, 151 Main St., and Mary Lou Woodford, 18 Bigelow Road.

Running unopposed for seats on various boards will be will be:

Deborah S. Keefe, 180 Parkerville Road, School Committee.

Daniel L. Kolenda, 7 Blendon Woods Drive, Northborough- Southborough Regional School Committee.

David A. Coombs, 61 Deerfoot Road, Moderator.

Nicolas McCoy, 10 Jericho Hill Road, Board of Commissioners of Trust Funds.

Shirley Bator, 83 William Onthank Lane, Board of Assessors.

Marguerite H. Landry, 134 Deerfoot Road, and Richard J. Wallace, 18 Cliff ord St., Board of Library Trustees, three-year terms.

Beth A. Rosenbloom, 5 Strawberry Hill Road, Board of Library Trustees, a two-year term.

Robert P. Jachowicz, 7 Prentiss St., Southborough Housing Authority.

With the exception of the moderator position, which is a one-year term, and the housing authority seat, which is a fiveyear term, al positions, unless specified above, are three-year terms.
