John H. Hackenberg, 62
Worcester – John H. Hackenberg, 62, died Wednesday April 21, 2010.
He is survived by his two daughters, Jennifer Hackenberg and Katy Hackenberg; his former wife, Susan Patterson; and his siblings, Nancy, Marge, Jim and Stan.
Born and raised in Penns Creek, Penn., the son of the late John and Dorothy Hackenberg, he was a veteran who served in the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam War. He graduated from UMass Lowell with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and worked for Digital Equipment Corp. for over 25 years.
At Mr. Hackenberg’s request, funeral services were private. Hays Funeral Home in Northborough assisted the family. Memorial donations may be made to the Worcester Animal Rescue League, 139 Holden St., Worcester, MA 01606. For online condolences, please visit www.haysfuneralhome. com.
