Matthew Gitkind performs in Connecticut College’s concert

Region – Westborough resident Matthew Gitkind, a freshman at Connecticut College, played the trombone in the Connecticut College Spring Orchestra Concert May 4.

Gitkind, a 2009 graduate of Westborough High School, is the son of Mitch Gitkind and Judy Powell of Westborough.

The concert featured classical music, including Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5 in C minor, Op. 67, and was directed by Adjunct Assistant Professors of Music Anthea Kreston and Jason Duckles.
