Playing in the good ole summertime

Southborough – Campers in Southborough’s recreation camps are enjoying many activities. Kid’s Kamp at Finn offered craft projects, and in keeping with an animal theme, children created animal sock puppets and made paper elephants. The kids also enjoyed cooling off with water-play equipment and a visit from the ice cream truck.

At the Junior Zone (Woodward School), children played “Titanic.” This game involves getting everyone from the sinking ship (one end of the gym) to the raft (other end of the gym) without stepping in the water (gym floor). Teamwork is essential in this game and all the kids made it. Next was water play, the perfect time to cool down. Campers enjoyed the huge water slide. They also played pillo polo, janga, and danced to some popular tunes.

At the Junior Zone, children enjoyed a snow-cone machine and Kid’s Kamp at Finn featured He ro Week. Campers made capes and representatives from the Fire and Police departments stopped by for a visit.
