Edward P. Burke, 86
Ashland - Edward P. Burke, 86, formerly a longtime resident of Southborough, died Friday Aug. 13, 2010 at St. Patrick’s Manor in Framingham. He was the husband of Irene (Gasper) Burke.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Kerry Burke, Patrice Burke, Dennis F. Burke, Neil Burke, Paul Burke, Gregory Burke and Jennifer Burke; 17 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Mr. Burke was a World War II Marine veteran. For many years, he worked for Philco Ford and climbed his way up to District Sales Manager. He enjoyed smoking cigars, horse racing and dog racing. He was an avid Red Sox fan and a little league coach for numerous years. He also enjoyed walking and golf.
A visiting hour and funeral service was held Aug. 21 at Morris Funeral Home of Southborough. Burial followed at the Rural Cemetery in Southborough.
