FISH offers rides to medical appointments

Marlborough – A new service is now available in Marlborough that provides rides to medical appointments when family, neighbors or friends cannot help. To schedule a ride, call 508-485-6492, ext. 11, and leave your name, phone number and the date/time of the appointment. A Friends In Service Helping (FISH) coordinator will contact you within 48 hours. Allow a week advance notice.

This service initially is available to those in the 55+ communities of Villages of East Marlborough and Villages at Crane meadows, as well as those residents over 60 residing at 240 Main St., 29 Pleasant St., 397 Bolton St. and Academy Knolls Apartments at 22 Broad St. As the number of volunteer drivers grows, the service will be expanded to more Marlborough citizens.

This service is provided by FISH and is staff ed entirely by volunteers. FISH of Marlborough is a program provided through the Marlborough Council on Aging/ Senior Center.

Those interested in volunteering or simply needing more information should call the phone number above and leave a message including your name and phone number.
