A new chapter for local libraries

image

Region – Downsizing in the Central Mass Regional Library System (CMRLS) has been a boon for two area public libraries in the last year. Westborough and Marlborough were able to hire extremely qualified administrators who had been laid off from CMRLS to be at the helm of their top positions. In July, Maureen Ambrosino was hired as Director of the Westborough Public Library and last fall, Margaret Cardello was named to that position in Marlborough. A reception to officially welcome Cardello was to be held Jan. 26, but like so many other events this winter, was postponed due to weather. It will instead be held Tuesday, Feb. 15.
