William Anthony LiPetri Sr., 85

Hudson – William Anthony LiPetri Sr., 85, a lifelong resident of Hudson, died at his residence Monday May 2, 2011, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of 63 years to the late Doris (Bombard) LiPetri, who died in 2009. She was the love of his life and his soul mate.

Born and raised in Hudson, the son of the late Francesco and Angelina (Jusseaume) LiPetri, he was a veteran of World War II, serving as an MP in the U.S. Army and stationed at a P.O.W. Camp in Maine.

Mr. LiPetri worked as an inspector for LaPointe's Machine Shop in Hudson and later was employed by the Digital Equipment Corp. in Maynard. He was a member of Saint Michael's Parish in Hudson.

He is survived by his three children, Diane Dexter and husband Bill of Hudson, Doris Strom and husband Dean of Bolton, and William LiPetri Jr. and wife Debbie of Nashua, N.H.; his three sisters, Martha Donahue, wife of the late Harold Donahue of Bolton, Gloria LiPetri of Hudson, and Barbara Bonazzoli and husband Richard of Hudson; his grandchildren, Annette Dexter, Michael Dexter, Andrew Dexter, Michelle MacDonald, Eric Richards and Cassandra LiPetri; eight great-grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; his special nephew and niece, David Bonazzoli and Nancy Bonazzoli; and many other nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass was celebrated May 5 from Saint Michael's Church, followed by burial at Saint Michael's Cemetery. The Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home of Hudson assisted with arrangements. For online condolences, visit www.tighehamilton.com.
