Southborough – The American Red Cross will be holding a blood drive Friday, Oct. 7, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Southborough Office Park. The Red Cross mobile bus will be parked outside the building at 132 Turnpike Rd.
The blood drive is open to the public and residents from all surrounding towns are invited to participate. Appointments are preferred, but walk-in donors are also welcome. The Red Cross hopes to collect at least 24 life-saving pints of blood at the drive.
If you are in good health, weigh 110 pounds or more, and have not given blood in the past 56 days, you may try to donate. Positive ID is now required before donating and you must be 17 years old to donate (16-year-olds may donate with a signed parental consent form).
