Northborough Historical Society hosts Harry Truman discussion during Oct. 21 meetingNorthborough – The Northborough Historical Society will hold its monthly meeting Friday, Oct. 21, at 7:30 p.m.

The evening's program will be “Harry Truman,” presented by Mark Bashour. The discussion will cover President Truman and the perilous conditions he encountered throughout his eight years in office, the major events and challenges of his presidency, and the important decisions he would make. Bashour will also speak about Harry Truman the man – his personal and professional background, and how he became the man he was, and what it was that shaped his character.

Bashour has taught history and government at Quinsigamond Community College for the past 13 years. Originally from Northborough, he has been a member of the Northborough Historical Society for nine years.

Meetings are held at the Historical Society building, 50 Main St. (corner of Main and School streets) in Northborough. There is no charge to attend and all are welcome. Visit www.northboroughhistsoc.org to find out more about this and other programs of the Northborough Historical Society.
