Margaret M. Gibson, 87Northborough – Margaret M. (Farracy) Gibson, 87, formerly of the Highlands section of Lowell, and later years spent in Chelmsford and Northborough, died Saturday, Oct. 29, 2011 at the U/Mass Medical Center in Worcester after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Walter J. Gibson, who died April 28, 1998.

Born Nov. 19, 1923 in Brighton, the daughter of the late Thomas and the late Margaret (Gibbons) Farracy, she attended Lowell schools and was a graduate of Lowell High School.

Retired from Lowell Lingerie, Mrs. Gibson worked as a seamstress for 23 years. She was a communicant of St. Margaret Church, a member of the Blessed Virgin Sodality of her parish while living in Lowell, and also a member of Mount Pleasant Country Club in Lowell

She is survived by her daughter, Suzanne Bosland and her husband Steve of Northborough, with whom she resided; five grandchildren Evan Sheehan and his wife Courtney of Hingham, Timothy Bosland and his wife Kristina of Clinton, Collin Sheehan of Boston, Jonathan Bosland and his wife Dawn of Grafton, and Joshua Reinhold of Los Angeles; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Marcia A. Reinhold, who died August 27, 1995. She was the sister of the late Edna Britton, who died January 8, 2011, and the late Florence Villineau, the late Mildred Morin, and the late William Farracy.

Friends may call Tuesday, Nov. 1, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the O”Donnell Funeral Home, 276 Pawtucket St., Lowell. Her funeral will take place from the funeral home Wednesday, Nov. 2, at 8:30 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass at St. Margaret Church at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow at the Pine Ridge Cemetery of Chelmsford.
