“Home for the Holidays” tree lighting Dec. 2 in Marlborough

Marlborough – The city of Marlborough will celebrate its annual “Home for the Holidays” Friday, Dec. 2, from 6 to 8 p.m., on Union Common, at the intersection of Route 20 (Main Street) and Route 85.

Mayor Nancy Stevens will arrive with Santa via Fire Truck at 6:15 p.m., and the tree lighting will be accompanied by the Marlborough High School Combined Chorus.  The Marlborough High School String Ensemble and Jazz Band will each perform at the First Congregational Church during the event.  Activities on the Common will include Santa, live barn animals, music, free balloons, popcorn, candy canes and hot chocolate.

Everyone is welcome to attend.
