Renovation still planned for Gerardo’s

Westborough – Construction of a 2,000 square foot bakery adjacent to the current Gerardo’s II Italian Bakery, 232 Turnpike Road, slated for completion in early 2012, has yet to begin. The future “Tuscan” style cafe has a new start date of early March and is projected to wrap up in June.
When the new building is complete, the current building will come down. In addition, the parking area will also be expanded. No reason has been given for the delay, but manager Angela Fahey confirmed the new bakery will be built.
In addition to the Westborough location, Gerardo’s has a main bakery located at 339 West Boylston St., and a location in Bolton Orchards, 125 Still River Rd., Bolton.
