Westborough – As part of its annual fundraiser, Venture Crew 100 will pickup your Christmas tree and dispose of it for you. The group, which is associated with the Boy Scouts of America, is accepting voluntary donations from residents for this service, which they will then use to support their programs and purchase equipment.
Pickup dates are Saturday, Dec. 31, 2011, Saturday Jan. 7, 2012 and Sat. Jan. 14, 2012.
The group asks that on the date of your pickup that you have the tree(s) outside your house in a location that is easily seen from the road. Tree pickup will start by 8 a.m. on the pickup days, so please have your tree(s) outside by that time.
The group suggests that residents leave a check for their donation attached to the tree in a plastic bag. All checks should be made payable to “Venture Crew 100”.
